New project granted

TioTech is one of four partners in a 2-years EU-funded (M-Era-Net) project which started 1st of August.

The project, which is called PLASMANODE, is coordinated by University of Liège in Belgium, and aims to develop eco-friendly anodes for Li-ion batteries by using water-based deposition techniques. The anode materials to be investigated are silicon from the Spanish company Ferroglobe and titania from TioTech. The materials will be coated by Innovative Coating Solutions (Belgium) using low-temperature plasma. Electrodes will be prepared via a water-based process and tested electrochemically by University of Liège.
